Look Inside Yourself – Then Magic Happens!
by DW Green — February 4, 2026

“…everything belongs. Nothing is excluded. Nothing is separate. Nothing is broken, and nothing is missing.”
I wanted to be an architect.
As a kid, I had the Kenner Building and Panel set. I could build buildings, roads, and structures. I loved it.
As I got older, I decided I wasn’t smart enough. So I gave up. I’ll never know what might have been.
How many of us do this? Talk ourselves out of our own possibilities before we even try?
The Voice Inside
There’s a voice that says: You can’t. You’re not enough. You’re not smart enough, talented enough, young enough, old enough.
That voice is loud. Convincing. Relentless.
But it’s not the only voice.
There’s another one — quieter, deeper. It doesn’t argue. It doesn’t persuade. It just KNOWS.
The problem is, we rarely stop long enough to hear it.
Look Inside
Not outside — where the world tells you who you should be.
Not backward — where your failures seem to define you.
Not forward — where anxiety builds castles of worry.
INSIDE. Right here. Right now.
That’s where the magic waits.
Then Magic Happens
I didn’t say “then YOU make magic happen.”
I said magic HAPPENS.
There’s a difference.
When you look inside — truly look, without agenda, without judgment — something shifts. You stop trying to FORCE life and start allowing it to FLOW.
Ideas arrive uninvited.
Connections appear from nowhere.
The right words come at the right time.
Doors open that you didn’t know existed.
Not because you’re special. Because you finally got out of the way.
The Pause
Here’s the secret: there’s a pause between looking and magic.
Look inside yourself — PAUSE — then magic happens.
The pause is where the work gets done. Not your work. Something deeper. Something that knows more than you do.
You can’t rush it. You can’t control it. You can only ALLOW it
I Am Knowing
A teacher named Rupert Spira wrote:
“I am knowing, knowing only knowing.”
At first, that sounds like nonsense. But sit with it.
What if knowing isn’t something you DO — but something you ARE?
What if all the “I”s — you, me, everyone — share the same knowing?
What if looking inside is just knowing recognizing itself?
The Magic
The magic isn’t a trick. It’s not a reward for being good or smart or deserving.
The magic is what’s ALREADY THERE — waiting to be noticed.
When you look inside, you’re not creating something new. You’re RECOGNIZING what was always true.
That’s the magic: you were never NOT enough.
You just forgot to look.
Perfectly Imperfect
I’m not an architect. I’m a designer, a writer, a husband, a father, a friend.
I’m also thin-skinned, stubborn, and occasionally a pain in the ole ass.
Perfectly imperfect.
But when I look inside — when I pause, when I allow — magic happens.
Not every time. Not on demand. But enough.
Enough to know it’s real.
Your Turn
You don’t need a special practice. A retreat. A teacher. A certificate.
You just need to stop. Look inside. And wait.
The magic will find you.
It always does.
Look inside yourself — then magic happens!
