Frazier Farms Deli Sandwich Ordering Platform

by Adam Zack — May 24, 2017

https://frazierfarmsmarket.com/deliorder/The need here was for customers to be able to order their sandwiches ahead and save the wait in line at the very busy store. They were only able to find third party order modules, all of which required the customer to pay in advance, something the store did not want. We developed a proprietary ordering system which prints the order on a printer located in the deli. It’s some truly revolutionary work for busy deli, bakery and juice bar operations. I would love to talk to you about it further and show you how it works. Plus, it’s very affordable, something important to all grocers....

Jensen’s Point Loma

by DW Green — March 9, 2017

Expansion by independent grocers, especially into new market areas has slowed dramatically over the past five years as the competitive landscape has heated up with expanded food offerings from chain stores, Target & Walmart and home meal delivery services such as Amazon and Blue Apron.  The capital expenditure and amount of work and infrastructure needed most of the time don’t outweigh the return, especially considering the risk. Our client and friends at Jensen’s Foods in Southern California recently took the chance and the opportunity by adding their first new store in over 13 years in San Diego.  With the help of DW Green for the weekly ad and marketing, Jensen’s is working hard to establish itself as the go to neighborhood grocery store with locals.  The new store, located in the Point Loma area of San Diego is surrounded by locals, many who have lived there most of their lives.  Adding service departments to what was a former Fresh & Easy store has been challenging, but the team at Jensen’s feels that after only 3 months of operations the opportunities for growth and huge.  Marketing efforts include a new customer loyalty program, a ...

They Did It!

by DW Green — September 28, 2015

Town and Country Markets, one of our Seattle area clients, recently completed an extensive remodel project of their store in Bainbridge Island Washington. To use the word “extensive” to describe the magnitude of the remodel is an understatement! The store was initially built in the 1950’s on very challenging terrain. And while the remodel required more than 18 months to complete, the end result was truly amazing! It’s a beautiful, beautiful store. The depth of planning and communication, both internally with staff and externally with vendors and the community were impeccable. Obviously a work plan is critical. But clearly communicating the plan to all employees and customers minimizes the discomfort and inconvenience while allowing everyone to be a part of the process. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the T&C leadership team, impassioned staff, gifted store designers, and talented construction company personnel for their dedication and exceptional work. We acknowledge the community of Bainbridge Island, as well, for their support and understanding of the lengthy remodel process. The story below appeared in Town & Country’s bi-monthly newsletter, the Bridge.  (more…)...
