A Holiday Message: The Face of God

Divine presence extends far beyond nature’s grandeur…
As I watched Apple TV’s collection of natural scenes, I found myself mesmerized by their breathtaking beauty – graceful jellyfish drifting through crystal waters, vibrant schools of fish dancing in ocean currents, California wildflowers painting hillsides in brilliant colors, ancient rice terraces etched into China’s mountains, the pastoral beauty of Central Park amid New York City’s urban landscape, the mighty Colorado River carving through the Grand Canyon, and the ethereal spires of Utah’s Bryce Canyon. In these extraordinary images, I glimpsed the face of God. Upon deeper contemplation, I realized this divine presence extends far beyond nature’s grandeur – it shines in my wife’s loving eyes, radiates from my son’s smile, glows in the faces of siblings and friends. I see it in the starlit evening sky, in the joyful spirit of the neighbor’s three-legged dog – in all of life’s expressions, from the magnificent to the humble, dwells the face of God.
